Milford — The Ambassadors Committee of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the next Meet and Greet to take place on Sept. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Best Western in Matamoras. All local business people are invited to attend whether they are Chamber members or not. There is no charge, and The Best Western will provide complimentary wine, cool beverages, and light refreshments. Meet them on the porch. The Ambassadors Committee is reaching out to Pike Chamber members and area businesses through a series of planned events. The goal is to hold several small Meet and Greets throughout the many sections of Pike County. “Meet and greet sessions are a great way for business leaders to network,” stated Scott J. Weiland, executive director, the Chamber. “We are pleased to provide a forum for members to do business with other members, and we are also pleased to introduce non-members to the value of membership in the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.” To inform attendees about Chamber offerings, the Committee has prepared a short presentation to inform business people of the many opportunities, perks and services that the Chamber has available to members. They also discuss the initiatives that are coming in the near future, and there is a networking portion of the event as well. “The Chamber has so many opportunities available to benefit all businesses in Pike County” said Paul Brislin, Pike Chamber president, “the Ambassadors Committee is providing an important service by bringing the Chamber of Commerce to the businesses throughout the county and showing them how they can use the Chamber’s services they are paying for.”
