Chamber presents community awards

WESTFALL - The Pike County Chamber of Commerce recently held its 12th Annual Community Awards Banquet on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing. Over 250 people and 15 participating organizations attended. Chamber President Ed Nikles Sr. described the event as “a wonderful annual forum in which to celebrate individual volunteers as well as the spirit of volunteerism in Pike County”. Recognized volunteers, listed with their sponsors, included: Rob Kelley by A.D.A.P.T.; Bill, June & Sue Briggs by Bon Secours Community Hospital; Wayne D. Lunger by Carbon/Monroe/Pike Mental Health Mental Retardation; Ed Nikles Sr. by Center for Developmental Disabilities; Brenda Snyder by Delaware Township/Dingmans Ferry Historical Society; Carole Linkiewicz by The Milford Garden Club; Aileen Earl and Joe Fortin by Pike County Area Agency on Aging; Tauni Ruvolis by The Pike County Arts & Crafts Council; Mike & Rita Donlon by The Pike County Developmental Center; Daniel Davis by The Pike County Humane Society; Marianne & Ken Yeaw by the Shohola Railroad Society; Jim Stine by Survivors’ Resources; Barbara Anderson by Twin Cedars Assisted Living Center; Bob Veneziale by United Way of Pike County; and Eveline Temken by Wayne/Pike Adult Literacy Program.
