Chant sponsors fun for kids at annual Hemlock Farms Day

Hemlock Farms - “Fun for all ages” was the theme for this years annual Hemlock Farms Carnival Day. Aug 5 was a beautiful, sunny day for the residents of Hemlock Farms to enjoy the annual festival held at the Fawn Hill Recreation complex. This year the amusement rides for kids was sponsored by the Davis R Chant Realtors Hemlock Farms office, located on Rte 739 just outside the community, and co-sponsored by LA Mortgage and Statewide Abstract. The kids enjoyed the inflatable rides including “King of The Mountain”, “Jumping Castle” and “Sticky Obstacle Course” provided by E.L.F. Entertainment. Then it was on to the “Peanut Games” where kids paid to play games with real peanuts. Some of the favorites included the “Lollipop Find”, “Mini-Golf”, “Tic-Tac- Toe” and the crowd favorite - the “Frog Toss”! The prizes to choose from included everything from bubbles and jump ropes, to posters and playdoh. A magic show, juggler and balloon animal making clown rounded out the kids entertainment. The adults kept busy under the tent munching on their BBQ’d favorites and doing a bit of shopping. Vendors selling jewelry, handbags, woodworking and crafts were among the attractions. T-shirts, caps and calendars were available to purchase with all proceeds benefiting the Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad.
