SHOHOLA — Northampton Community College’s associate degree program in early childhood education has become the first in Pennsylvania and one of the first in the country to earn accreditation for both its campus and online programs through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Early childhood education is one of the most popular majors at NCC. The program boasts over 1000 graduates who are employed in teaching and administrative positions in preschools and child care centers, as well as public and private schools. The major is offered in its entirety at NCC’s Bethlehem and Monroe campuses and at the Shohola Center in Pike County.
