Proposed Nursing school in Wayne County Virginia Fries, RN, director of Patient Care Services at Wayne Memorial Hospital, is pictured talking to local high school administrators about a proposal to start a nursing school program in Wayne County. The program would be a collaboration between the hospital, local schools and Luzerne County Community College. Wayne Memorial’s CEO David Hoff, seated right, said the hospital already provides tuition reimbursement aid for nursing students and would consider other incentives to encourage local young people to enter health care fields. Several public informational meetings are scheduled including one at Wallenpaupack Area High School, on April 21, at 7 p.m. For more information, call WMH’s Virginia Fries, RN at 570-253-8268 or WMH’s Human Resources Department at 570-253-8995.
