BLOOMING GROVE — Need a unique gift for the person who has everything? Want to support conservation education efforts in Pike County? The Pike County Conservation District has commissioned a very special cotton coverlet, “Pike County…Naturally”, to represent the wealth of the County’s natural and historic resources. The 100% cotton coverlet pays tribute to the beautiful streams, diverse wildlife and historic landmarks that are symbols of life in Pike County. The coverlet provides not only a great representation of the valuable natural resources, which make Pike County such an attractive place to live, but also benefits conservation education programs of the Conservation District. The District’s conservation education programs reach audiences of all ages, focusing on a wide variety of conservation issues. Youth education programs include the Pike/Wayne Envirothon, scholarships & sponsorships, classroom and outdoor presentations and the Pike County Federation of Sportsmen’s Club’s Youth Conservation School. Community education programs include public forums on a variety of timely topics, municipal workshops, and teacher trainings. This great holiday gift is available for $53 including tax at the Pike County Conservation District office on Route 402 in Blooming Grove, the Pike County Treasurer’s office in the County Administration office in Milford, or Carol Ann’s Linen Closet at 317 Broad Street in Milford. You can also receive a coverlet by mail by contacting the District office at 570-226-8220 or email mulmer@pikepa.org.
