    Milford n • Tuesday, June 5: Fishing at Lily Pond at 7 p.m. with the Fish Warden from the Pa. State Fish and Boat Commission. Please let them know if you need to borrow a fishing pole by 6/1. • Monday, June 11: 6:30 p.m. n Order of the Arrow Cross Over Ceremony at the Matamoras Methodist Church. This special ceremony is given by the Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America n presenting the Arrow of Light award to Grant Meyers-Larsen. • Tuesday, June 12: Rain Date for Fishing at Lily Pond n 7 p.m. • Thursday, June 14: Flag Burning Ceremony with Veterans at 6 p.m. at the Milford American Legion. Please let them know if you plan to attend, in advance. A head count is needed for the Veterans as they are planning to serve hot dogs, afterward. • Saturday, June 16: Strawberry Festival Fund Raiser n Yard Sale Table. They need your donations (no clothes or shoes, please) and some help n even if you could spend a half hour. This is the only fundraiser they have had since the Popcorn Sale in the Fall. The cost of badges and special projects are getting tough to keep up with financially. All project materials have been purchased with personal funds of parents or through going personally to local businesses and requesting donations of materials. Thank you for your support. • Tuesday, June 19: Step-Up Ceremony for Cub Scouts: 6:30 p.m. at the Pike County Park. Wednesday, June 20: Memorial Park, 7 p.m. Pack #71 Community Service Project: Litter Pick-Up. This Project should only take about an hour if all scouts help. Please wear uniforms, bring gloves if you have them. This will count towards the Leave No Trace Award. • June 22-24; Overnight Parent/Scout Camp Out: Camp Nooteeming. All who plan to go, contact Cubmaster Dave as you need to register. Activities Planned for July include: a scavenger hunt, visit to a llama farm, a canoe trip, and a Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Yankees baseball game. Activities planned for August include: a hike, fishing, berry picking, campfire fun/s’mores at Promised Land, and an overnight canoe trip.
