Dispositions in the Pike County Court
of Judge Joseph Kameen Milford n On June 14, defendants who had earlier pleaded guilty to various charges and were sentenced included: Arthur Boecher, 20, of Greentown, for a Jan. 2007 charge of simple assault in Greene Township, was fined $500, and sentenced to serve nine to 23 months in the Pike County Jail. Vincent Vattimo, 21, of Hawley, for an Oct. 2006 charge of driving under the influence in Lackawaxen, was fined $1,500, lost his license for 12 months, and was sentenced to serve 48 hours to six months in the Pike County Jail. Steven Opiz, 23, of Matamoras, for an Oct. 2006, charge of delivery of controlled substances in Westfall, was fined $400, and sentenced to serve 11.5 to 23 months in the Pike County Jail. Debra Bills, 47, of Canadensis, for June 2006 charges including driving under the influence in Greene Township, was fined $800, ordered to make restitution, and was sentenced to six months probation. Kevin Peters, 46, of Hawley, for a July, 2005 charge of issuing a bad check in Palmyra, was fined $500, and sentenced to one year of probation. Charles Swezy, 40, of Hawley, for March, 2006 charges including driving under the influence in Shohola, was fined $1,325, had his license suspended for one year, and was sentenced to serve 35 days to six months in the Pike County Jail. Thomas Kohut, 28, of Throop, for Oct. 2006 charges including, driving under the influence in Westfall, was fined $1,025, had his license suspended for 12 months, and was sentenced to serve two days in the Pike County Jail, followed by 43 days to six months under house arrest. Louis Delvecchio, 50, of Milford, for Aug. 2005 charges including driving under the influence in Dingman, was found guilty at a non-jury trial in May and on June 14 was fined $1,050, had his license suspended for 12 months, and was sentenced to serve three to six months in the Pike County Jail.
