Drug arrest made during vehicle stop

    HAMBURG, N.J. — On Dec. 7, at 8:47 p.m., Hamburg, N.J. police stopped a 1999 Honda, driven by Amber L Luciani, 19, of Bushkill, on Vernon Avenue, for having a headlight out. During the course of the stop, a passenger, Matthew C. Maloney, 20, of Dingmans Ferry, was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana. He was arrested and transported to the Hamburg Police Station, where he was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Luciani was issued traffic summonses for maintenance of lamps, driving while suspended and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Both were scheduled to appear in the Hamburg Municipal Court on Dec. 18.
