Suspect rifled through the purse. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Nearing at 570-491-4040. • On Jan. 28, this Department received notification that a fake insurance company, PROMTO Med Insurance, was scamming seniors. Residents are reminded not to give out personal information to any unknown source. Anyone with information is asked to contact Asst. Chief Stewart at 570-491-4040. • This Department is investigating several car break-ins that occurred at the Best Western in Westfall Township. The break-ins occurred on Feb. 1, and the early morning hours of Feb. 12. In two of the break-ins the suspect(s) stole GPS navigation systems. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant David Zegarski. Citizens are reminded to keep their vehicles locked when parked on the streets.
