Exchange students welcomed

MILFORD — Since arriving in the US, Malte Schmelter and Akshay Yeola have begun attending school and becoming involved in extracurricular activities at Delaware Valley. Both have tried out for and made the football team. They’ve even enjoyed some regional travel with their respective host families. Malte visited the New Jersey shore and Akshay visited the Air Force Museum and attended an air show in Ohio recently. Most importantly they have been learning to live with and sharing their culture with their host families and their host families’ network of extended family members and friends. Host families are still being sought for both Malte and Akshay for later in the school year as well as for students for the 2008-9 School Year. Host families provide room and board as well as generally make the Rotary Exchange Student a part of the family.
