Honesdale - Wayne Memorial Hospital Monday announced another postponement of a scheduled clinic for seniors’ flu shots. According to the hospital, the clinic scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Hamlin Area on Aging Center has been postponed. “We have not received the expected shipment of vaccine,” says Mary Lou Hoffner, RN, Manager of Wayne Memorial’s Home Health Department. Clinics scheduled for the last week of October in Wayne and Pike counties were postponed earlier. The Nov. 2 clinic has been rescheduled at the Hamlin Area on Aging Center for Tuesday, Nov. 28 between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Health officials around the country insist there is no shortage of flu vaccine this year, as there was last year, but shipment delays have been reported nationwide.
