PORT JERVIS — Lilly is a sweet natured brindle colored spayed female shepherd mix. She is about 7 years old, housebroken and her last owner said, “She is a wonderful dog”. They had her for 1 1/2 years. However, the child in the home developed asthma. Lilly loves to play with kids, is good with other animals and knows the commands “sit’ and “stay”. If you throw pieces of food to her she will catch them. Lilly slept on the floor in the children’s room at night and will make a fantastic companion. Roger is a orange and white male about 5 months old. Roger has two adorable dots on either side of his mouth. The cat Roger came to the shelter with, Miss Ginger, has already found a new home. Roger is using the litter box at the shelter and will be neutered before going to a new home. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please call or visit the Humane Society of Deerpark/Port Jervis at 202 Rt. 209 North Tuesday through Sunday. The shelter is closed Mondays. Call 845-856-3677.
