Future business leaders score high

Most will move on to state competition after regional wins WESTFALL - On Jan. 24, the Delaware Valley High School Future Business Leaders of America Club competed at the Region 22 Conference held at Keystone College. Twenty-nine students attending the regional competition in 23 different events, we had 9 first place, 3 second place and 5 third place winners that will be advancing to the state competition at Hershey in April. Twenty-four of the twenty-nine students who competed placed in the top five. Advisors said this is a major accomplishment for the club chapter at Delaware Valley. The following students will be attending the State Competition and their Regional results are as follows: • Caitlin Vill - Banking and Financial Systems - 3rd Place • Eric Dubee - Accounting I - 2nd Place • George Hupfer - Computer Applications - 1st Place • Georgie Polyak - Marketing - 1st Place • Skyler Schneider - Economics - 1st Place • Kaelyn Stadtmueller - Economics - 2nd Place • Tenisha Bell, Matt Haar - Desktop Publishing - 1st Place • Matt Keniston - Java Programming - 1st Place • Rich Cheng - Introduction to Technology Concepts - 2nd Place • Shawn Chen - Introduction to Technology Concepts - 3rd Place • Andrea Didio - Business Law - 3rd Place, and • Nicole Lewis - Web Site Development - State Competition First place regional winners, Christina Martine, Keith Fritchie, and Ryan McNeely will compete as a team in Management Decision Making. The Delaware Valley will also be recognized at the State Competition for an increase in membership from last year. Students who place in the top of their categories include: • Robert Navarro - Visual Basic -4th Place • Joee Shimanski - Technology Concepts - 4th Place • Nick Troiano - Public Speaking - 3rd Place • Bradlee Sheldon - Technology Concepts - 5th Place • Danielle Dezenzo - Word Processing II - 5th Place • Amanda Bachman - Accounting II - 4th Place • Sarah Boccio - Accounting II - 5th Place, and • Anthony Krakower - Mr. FBL - 2rd Place
