Garden center & garden club team with Habitat for Humanity

The Milford Garden Club has partnered with Habitat for Humanity by landscaping one of their homes in Pocono Mountain Lakes Estates in Dingmans Ferry. Wisspering Pines Garden Center owner, Carol Witschel, participated by working with Milford Garden Club member, Carol Padalino, to select deer-resistant and low maintenance. The garden center is located on state Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry. On May 7, 2009, Milford Garden Club members Sally Gifft, Roseanna Mihalick, Susan Mihalick, and Carol Padalino met to do the planing. Seed money for this project was awarded to the Milford Garden Club by the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania.
