Gearing up for the derby

In preparation for their Annual Pinewood Derby, the Milford Cub Scouts Pack 71, with their parents, visited the wood shop in Bristol Glen, Newton, N.J. for some pointers. Residents Charles Windt and Jack Rosen gave the scouts a tour of the shop and offered good, sound advice and assistance with the first major steps of building a stellar vehicle. During the visit at Bristol Glen, Cub Scout Liam Southard and his dad, Bill, drew a template for Liam’s first Pinewood Derby Car. Cub Scout Joey Loughney looked on, with the hope of gaining a few pointers for his car. (Contributed photos)
