Westfall — You can get a bargain and do a good thing Saturday, when haircuts at Smartstyle will benefit breast cancer research. Smartstyle Family Hair Salon stylists, at Wal-Mart, along with thousands of Smartstyle stylists nationwide and in Canada, will contribute their time to give more than 6,000 haircuts to raise money for breast cancer research during the tenth annual Smartstyle Clip for the Cure. The day to get your haircut is Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, throughout September, Smartstyle will be selling pink breast cancer awareness purses for a $1 donation. Also, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 15, 10 percent of net proceeds from the sale of Regis designLINE hair-care products will be contributed to the cause. Regis Corporation stylists alone have raised more than $5 million for breast cancer research by hosting an array of activities from raffles to bake sales.
