WESTFALL — The United Way is again partnering with the American Red Cross to host the seventh annual 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive. On Sept. 12, the gymnasium at the Delaware Valley Middle School will be transformed to accommodate donors with reading material, snacks and gifts from the American Red Cross. Scott Myer, of Myer and Myer CPA Firm, specializing in personal and corporate tax planning and located in Milford, announced that his firm is donating an outdoor gas grill to be raffled off to one of the blood donors. All donors will be given a raffle ticket at the door where they will fill out their name and telephone number. Scott will pull the winning ticket at the end of the event and the lucky winner will be notified. You do not have to be present to win. Doors open at 8:45 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. To donate blood you must be 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and have identification with you. Greg Myer of Myer & Myer is a frequent blood donor. “It is a critical time for blood donations and your gift really can save a life. We realize how hard it is to balance work and family and know that we all have time commitments. We are donating a raffle prize to add some fun to the event. It is our way of saying thanks to the special people that make the time to come out and donate,” he said.
