Hearings begin for power line

    Harrisburg — The Public Utilities Commission has scheduled a pre-hearing on the PPL Electric Utilities Corporation plan for the siting and construction of the proposed Pennsylvania portion of the Susquehanna-Roseland Power Line Project. The initial prehearing conference before Administrative Law Judge Susan D. Colwell will be held at 10 a.m. on March 6 in Hearing Room 1, of the Plaza Level of the Commonwealth Keystone Building at 400 North Street in Harrisburg. The new line provides nuclear power from Berwick to New Jersery and crosses portions of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike and Wayne Counties. The hearing is open to the public.
