Holiday reception at Grey Towers

MILFORD The Grey Towers Heritage Association sponsored a Holiday Reception at Grey Towers on Friday, Dec. 5. About 120 people attended this sumptuous holiday reception and found the mansion beautifully decorated by the Milford Garden Club, with Christmas Trees on all three floors and lush garlands on the staircases. The gathering also celebrated the accomplishments of the association (a 5013c organization), which for the last two years has been promoting the heritage of community outreach of the Pinchot family. Some of the community events sponsored by the organization include the American Readers Theatre’s readings of “Our Town” and Edgar Allan Poe’s poems, the annual Ice Cream Social, the Festival of Wood, and the closing event of the Black Bear Film Festival. The reception featured a raffle and Director Gail Wershing announced the raffling off of a wood etching of Grey Towers done by Eric Pavenish of Greeley. The Grey Towers Heritage Association is seeking new members and more information about the association can be found at its Web site, www.greytowers.org.
