Interactive seminar on small business financing

    MILFORD — Whether just starting out or looking to expand, financing is an essential part of any small business. The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is presenting a Financing Your Business seminar on Tuesday, May 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Milford Borough Hall. This seminar is made possible by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce Business Education Committee, the Pike County Economic Development Authority, and Milford Borough in partnership with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, and the Hawley/Lake Wallenpaupack Chamber of Commerce. Representatives will be on hand from the SBDC, Small Business Administration, MetroAction, Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA), and South Eastern Economic Development Company of Pennsylvania (SeedCo). Presenters will provide information critical to the success of any small business, including where to look for financing, which loans work best for different needs, how to apply for loans, what lenders look for, and the truth about grants. Programs and services offered by presenting organizations will also be highlighted. Cost is $7 per person for Pike County Chamber of Commerce Members and $10 per person for non-members.
