Kathryn Braisted MILFORD — A well-known and liked hub for both the locals and tourists, Milford’s Dimmick Inn and Steakhouse has announced a change in stewardship. After twenty-one years of ownership, Gerry Hansen and Karen and Ed Loeschorn entrusted their restaurant to the Jorgenson family of Jorgenson’s Deli and Bagels on Broad Street. Hansen said he and the co-owners agreed the time was right for them to sell the corner eatery. All businesses sell at one point, he said, and the opportunity arose for the Dimmick. “We feel the Jorgensons will be great stewards and we wish them well,” Hansen said. He also complimented the Jorgensens’ management of their popular deli, a factor Hansen considered when agreeing to sell. “I’ve been here twenty-one years, and I’m only 35,” Hansen joked. “Now, I’m going to go play golf.” At press-time, the Jorgensons were unprepared to comment on their purchase of or future plans for the Dimmick Inn; however, an announced grand re-opening is said to be to taking place “soon.”
