Learn about natural gas exploration and leasing
HAWLEY Penn State Cooperative Extension will hold the workshop, “Fundamentals of Natural Gas Exploration and Leasing,” on Thursday, May 14, from 6:30 9 p.m. at the Wallenpaupack Senior High School in Hawley. Experts will discuss what the Marcellus Shale is and why the interest in Marcellus Shale, how Marcellus gas drilling occurs and the intricacies, advantages, and disadvantages of signing a natural gas lease. This course is intended to inform you of the concerns you will need to address as a landowner considering a gas lease. This program is for educational purposes only and no part is to be considered legal advice. The cost of the workshop is $10. Pre-registration, including payment, is required by May 8.
