New review board effort forthcoming MILFORD — An Apr. 10 statement from the Pike County Public Library said the library “recognizes the rights of all citizens to hold and express their personal opinions. However, no such opinion represents the position of the Pike County Public Library (PCPL) unless issued as an official statement of the PCPL. “The PCPL respects Milford Borough’s Historic District Ordinance and the Architectural Review Board (ARB) process. The PCPL is delighted that its architect, Frederic Schwartz, and Milford Borough’s architectural consultant, Peter Benton, have recently had several substantive and cordial conversations. These discussions and Benton’s December report have provided Schwartz with the guidance necessary to enable him to produce a changed design, more compatible with the Ordinance. “The PCPL looks forward to submitting Schwartz’s new design to the ARB and the public later this month. The PCPL’s commitment to the ARB process and to Milford Borough is demonstrated by its efforts to respond to Mr. Benton’s report and comments with a new design.”
