Library says prepare for book and bake sale

MILFORD — The Pike County Public Library wishes to announce its Fall book and bake sale. Please note the dates and mark your calendar. The sale, an annual event, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, and Sunday, Sept. 16, at the American Legion Building on Water Street in Milford. The hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission and parking are free. There is a “special preview hour” on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and for this preview admission is $10 per person. All proceeds go to the Library. As usual, the tables will be stacked with wonderful hard cover and paperback books in good condition. We’re featuring a wide selection of audio books on tape, as well as video and DVD collections. Our bake sale can’t be beat for variety of delicious homemade goodies at great prices. If you wish to donate baked goods for the sale, contact Bake Chairperson Mary Quilici at 570-296-7841.
