On Wednesday afternoon, Frank Barrera, director of photography, was busy setting up a shot at Mt. Haven, which was the setting for a scene during the filming of “The Poker Club.” In the background, Pike County Sheriff’s vehicles are visible preparing for their big screen debut, surrounding a “crime scene” at the side of the Mt. Haven restaurant. The movie, based on the book, will be filmed in various area locations, including Branchville, Newton, and Dingmans Ferry. Producer Bruce Devan commented that Mt. Haven was chosen by the location scouts because of the beauty of the location and how it fit the script. (Photo by Nick Troiano)
