38th annual Pike/Wayne Envirothon seeks sponsors
Hawley. Sponsors will help support local teams.

Sponsorships are currently being accepted to fund the 38th annual Pike/Wayne Envirothon competition slated for Tuesday, April 15 at the Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center. Envirothon is a one-day event co-hosted by the Pike County Conservation District (PCCD) and Wayne Conservation District (WCD) that brings together high school students from different districts across the area to compete in five topics spanning multiple environmental science subject areas. Teams consisting of five students each study for months to prepare for the event and meet professionals in the field, including staff of the PA Game Commission, DCNR, NRCS, and more.
Donations will help to send the winning Pike and Wayne county teams to the state-wide PA Envirothon Competition; distribute prizes to winning student teams to continue their scientific exploration; purchase matching event shirts for participating students, advisors, and volunteers; and provide lunch to participants.
“Gold Sponsors” who donate up to $100 will have their business name recognized on PCCD’s social media page and in the press release announcing the winners following the competition. “Platinum Sponsors” who donate $100 or more, in addition to the above recognition, will also have their business logo printed on the event shirts (in order to have the business logo printed on the event shirts, the sponsorship donation must be received by March 16, 2025, to ensure adequate printing time for the shirts).
Those interested in supporting this event can reach out to PCCD communication coordinator Emily Mansfield at 570-226-8220 or emansfield@pikepa.org, or WCD watershed specialist Olivia D’Amore at 570-253-0930 or odamore@waynecountypa.gov.
