A merry holiday at Twin Cedars

Twin Cedars Senior Living in Shohola recently held its annual holiday concert for residents and family members. The seniors rehearsed their favorite holiday songs for several weeks in advance of this special event, coordinated for the past 14 years by the activities director, Elaine Stine. Resident Michael Sepanak sang a solo of “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and then a duet with Stine, as the audience cheered him on. “It was very special to see all the family members come at this busy time of year to see their loved ones sing,” said Stine. Family members stayed to share eggnog and holiday cheer with their loved ones. Stine also makes sure each senior has several gifts to unwrap on Christmas morning, with many collected through donations from local churches and family members. Santa delivered the gifts on Christmas morning. “I would like to personally thank the organizations who donated items to our seniors to make this Christmas special for them," said Twin Cedar's owner, Tamara Singer. "I would like to express gratitude and appreciation to the Salvation Army, The Heart of Matamoras and People Helping People from St. Patrick’s Church in Milford. The residents were delighted with their generous gifts.” (Photo provided)
