Autism Family Fun Day coming to the park

MILFORD — Autism Family Fun Day will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at the park on Ann Street in Milford.
Joan Tuzzoll recently announced that the day is being sponsored by North PPODS (North Pocono Parents of Down Syndrome) and Friends, a nonprofit organization that provides information and support to families, and promotes awareness, acceptance and advocacy for children with autism.
For the annual Fun Day the group provide snacks, prizes, entertainment, arts and crafts, a tricky tray, and face painting for $5 per child. In previous years, singers and characters such as Lego Spider-Man, Scooby-Do, and Mickey and Minney Mouse entertained the children.
The group wants to bring back the Lego Master Builder Event this year. Last year the kids got to keep their creations.
Additional details will be coming in the weeks ahead.
