For the third year in a row elected officials from New York State, Orange County, the town of Warwick and its three villages will serve dinner to guests at the annual At Your Service Dinner to benefit the Rumshock Veterans Foundation. This year the event will take place on Tuesday, September 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Landmark Inn restaurant on Route 94 in Warwick.

Last year’s attendees included Orange County Legislator Barry Cheney; Florida Mayor Dan Harter Jr.; NY State Assemblyman Karl Brabenec; Yasmine Bouachri, legislative director to NY State Senator James Skoufis; and former Warwick Town Supervisor Mike Sweeton.

The organizers expect this year’s event to include Harter Jr., Skoufis, Brabanec, Cheney, Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Warwick Town Supervisor Jesse Dwyer, Greenwood Lake Mayor Tom Howley, and Warwick Village Mayor Michael Newhard.

The menu will consist of the following items, prepared by award-wining chef and Culinary Institute graduate, Michael DiMartino: mixed green salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, with house made white balsamic vinaigrette; house-baked sourdough bread and flatbreads with whipped butter; an entrée including filet of poached salmon in a dill/white wine sauce and sliced sirloin steak with mushrooms in a red wine reduction. Accompanying the entrées will be sautéed seasonal vegetables and rosemary roasted potatoes. Dessert will include the Landmark’s signature chocolate layer cake with fresh whipped cream frosting.

Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased at Rumshockvf.org. The ticket price includes the meal and an open bar, courtesy of sponsor SecureWatch24.com.

The Rumshock Veterans Foundation helps provide veterans with the opportunity to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health as well as reconnect with society through meaningful activities. The Foundation is also working on establishing Rumshock Village, a tiny residential community of affordable housing for veterans to be located in Port Jervis. The initiative will also include hydroponic farming maintained by Village residents, transportation to assist Village residents in making appointments to healthcare providers and other necessities, e-waste recycling, and canine companionship for emotional support. Rumshock Veterans Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) organization, and all donations are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
