Douglas Jacobs quits as solicitor to serve on council

MILFORD — Douglas J. Jacobs resigned his paid position as solicitor to Milford's zoning hearing board to serve the remaining term in the borough council seat vacated by Ed Raarup, the council's former vice-president.
Some council members said only a few local people are qualified to replace Jacobs as solicitor. The board decided to advertise for the position. The following council members are running for re-election: James Price (four-year term), Doug Jacobs (four-year term), Nicholas May (four-year term), Robert Zaruba (four-year term), Vincent Accordino (two-year term).
