DVES hallways have a new look

MILFORD — Do you see the street lamps out in our hallways? Do you know what that means?
We decided to ask our principal, Mrs. Olsommer all about it. The street lamps idea started out in November with the teachers and kids naming all the hallways. The A hallway name is now Acceptance Avenue. The names of the other hallways are B for Born to Lead Boulevard, C for Confidence Court, D for Discovery Drive and E for Empathy Expressway.
The person we have to give thanks to the most is Mr. Navitsky and the school staff and everybody who helped. There will be five street lamps around the school that will make the school more inviting. These new hallway signs are making the kids happier than before.
Mrs. Navitsky is on the environmental team and Leader in Me committee. She volunteered her husband, Mr. Navitsky, to do most of the wood work for the street lamps. We hope you will feel good about yourself when you walk in or near these hallways.
