Kara Poremba becomes board-certified lactation consultant

HONESDALE — Kara Poremba, Healthy Beginnings Plus Coordinator of the Women’s Health Center in Honesdale, has met all requirements to become an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

The International Board of Lactation Consultation Examiners will grant her credentials.

Poremba provides outpatient lactation counseling at the Women’s Health Center and at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites for new mothers. She is a certified childbirth educator and also instructs breastfeeding classes.
