Milford Matamoras Rotary Club awards essay contest winners

The Milford Matamoras Rotary Club awarded cash prizes to the student winners of its Rotary District 7410 essay contest. Area high school juniors and seniors were asked to submit entries based on the theme, “Unite for Good.”
The club received 24 essays and awarded the prizes to Julia VanJahnke (first place, $300), Jason Helferty (second place, $200) and Nat Carso (third place $100).
“Our club was very proud of all students that participated in the essay contest; they all did an outstanding job,” The Milford Matamoras Rotary Club said in press release.
