Milford. Rotary Club essay contest winners announced

In December 2024, the Rotary District 7410 Essay Contest was opened to all local Juniors and Senior High School Students.

The annual essay contest is designed to foster student creativity and create a positive outlook.

The theme was: “Rotary’s 4 Way Test, Is it fair to all concerned? How can we use teamwork, inclusion, empathy, acceptance, belonging and accountability to solve problems or achieve the goals we set?”

Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club received 21 essays from Delaware Valley High School and chose three top winners. The first place essay advances to District finals.

At Wednesday’s April 16 meeting, the Milford Matamoras Rotary Club presented the three top winners with cash prizes:

Jason Helferty, the first-place winner, received $300.

Ethan Koloski, the second-place winner, received $200.

Taylor Spears, the third-place winner, received $100.

“Our club was very proud of all students that participated in the essay contest,” the Rotary said in announcing the winners. “They all did an outstanding job.
