The Pike County Conservation District (PCCD) is now accepting nominations for their 2024 PCCD Conservation Achievement Awards. These awards will recognize the work of those who go above and beyond to help conserve Pike County’s natural resources.

There are three categories for these awards: the Conservation Achievement Award, for any individual, group, or organization; the Educator Conservation Achievement Award, for a teacher or educator in Pike County; and the Youth Conservation Achievement Award, for a student in grades K-12 in Pike County.

Nominees for all the awards should demonstrate a long-term commitment and service to natural conservation, outstanding positive impacts on the environment through conservation projects, or beneficial and innovative contributions made to improve the public’s understanding of conservation issues.

More information and the nomination form can be found at bit.ly/pccd-awards. Nominations will be accepted until June 1. Award recipients will be announced in the fall and will be given two complimentary tickets to the PCCD annual dinner where they will receive their award.
