On the verge of spring

The berm (or verge) in front of the Hotel Fauchere and Patisserie is a welcome sign of spring. “We just raked, scratched, and seeded the berm, and I cover it with straw to hold moisture until the grass can take root," said owner Sean Strub — who won his current office of mayor as a member of Milford's so-called "verge" party.
