MILFORD — Pike County Light and Power (PCL&P) Certified Arborist Mark Beamish presented an Arbor Day education program that underscored the importance of healthy community tree stock to nearly 75 third-grade students at Shohola Elementary School last week. PCL&P presented each student with a Blue Spruce sapling and a bookmark. Each of the school’s classrooms also received an Arbor Day poster. National Arbor Day is April 24.
