Peifer, Brown’s Senior Citizens Expo set for Sept. 8
MILFORD — Reps. Mike Peifer (R-Pike/Wayne) and Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) will hold their annual Senior Expo on Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dingman Township Fire Hall, 680 Log Tavern Road in Milford.
“The expo provides area seniors and their caregivers with an opportunity to learn more about services, activities and information in the area that can enhance their quality of life,” said Brown and Peifer in a statement.
The expo will feature more than 50 exhibitors, the admission to the event is free, and light refreshments will be offered.
Wayne Memorial Hearing Solutions will provide hearing screenings. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office will accept unwanted medications, in sealed zip-top bags, for safe disposal. Bottles will not be accepted.
Pike County Transportation is offering convenient, free transportation to the expo for Pike County residents age 65 and over. Residents must register in advance for this service by calling 570-296-3408 or 866-681-4947 by Sept. 1.
