Milford. The Pike County Commissioners on June 2 unanimously approved about $620,000 in CHIRP grants to help businesses that were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Seven businesses received the maximum grant of $50,000, while four establishments received $45,000. Two businesses received $20,000.

“The process is complete and we’re happy to support these businesses with these funds,” Commissioners Chair Matthew Osterberg said.

The grants were available to businesses that have lost 25 percent or more because of the pandemic and have an NAICS code of Accommodations or Food Services and drinking places that provide accommodations, food and or drinks on site.
