Applications/nominations are now being accepted for positions on the Pike County 4-H Program Development Committee. We are seeking talented, dedicated individuals who are committed to making a difference in their community in the area of positive youth development.
Pike 4-H is non-traditional, focusing less on animal science and more on engaging opportunities for youth in STEM, Environmental Science, Expressive Arts, Healthy Living, Leadership and Civic Engagement.
Advisory committee members meet monthly for approximately 1-2 hours, alternating in-person and Zoom formats.
Examples of Board Member tasks include representing 4-H in the community at various events, seeking opportunities for program development and partnerships, promoting 4-H programming, maintaining and developing relationships with stakeholders, recruiting volunteers, and assisting with resource allocation and fundraising.
Terms are for two years.
This is an amazing opportunity to help facilitate learning and service opportunities for youth in our community on the front lines and behind the scenes.
The success of 4-H depends on its volunteers. Let’s work together to make our local program amazing. Outside and self-nominations are being accepted through May 26.
The next board meeting will be June 2.
