Lords Valley. The Pike County Public Safety Department will host a free three-day responder camp for young people ages 10 to 18.

The camp will be held Aug. 17 to 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, at the Training Center, 135 Pike County Boulevard, in Lords Valley.

Each day will focus on a different responder service, including law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service (EMS). The camp will be taught by Pike County Office of Emergency Management staff along with members from various responder programs, including the Sherriff’s Office, the Pike County Correctional Facility, emergency medical services agencies, fire protection agencies, and potentially the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

There are no costs associated with attending the camp, and there is no registration deadline, although it is preferred to register prior to Aug. 16.
