Milford. The Pike County Board of Commissioners has established a new mortgage assistance program for low- to moderate-income homeowners. Eligible applicants will receive up to three months of assistance with mortgage payments. Interested homeowners can apply by going to PikeForward.com.

To be eligible for the program, homeowners must live in Pike County, be behind in mortgage payments because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and have income less than 80 percent of the area median – up to $63,100 for a family of four.

Through a separate program, the county also has funding available to assist renters and landlords.

Interested homeowners can call Stephanie Everson, human services housing coordinator for Pike County, at 570-832-0156, or email severson@pikepa.org.

This project was financed by a grant from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development.
