Rohman’s Pub to be discussed at historical society meeting
Shohola. Rohman’s Pub will be the subject of the next meeting of the Shohola Railroad Historical Society on May 4 at 7 p.m.

“Rohman’s Pub – Shohola’s Unique and Historic Landmark” will be the topic presented by Rolf Buchmann at the meeting of the Shohola Railroad and Historical Society [SRHS] on Wed, May. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Shohola Twp. Bldg, 159 Twin Lakes Rd. Shohola.
The program features the history of the famous Pub from its founding in 1849 to the present; pictures of unique furnishings, such as the 53 foot Brunswick Bar, hinged bar stools, bowing alley with manual pin setting and pictures of celebrities who visited the establishment over the years, including aviator Charles Lindbergh, author, Zane Grey, baseball greats: Babe Ruth, “Smokey Joe” Wood, and Hollywood stars; Clara Bow, Gloria Swanson, and Paul Newman among others. Also open on the evening of the program is the new SRHS Museum Room at the Twp. Bldg.
It is open for viewing whenever the township building is open during the week.
