— In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Arlene Quirk of the Keller Williams Realty and staff put on a celebration for customers, complete with hot and cold cider and goodies they baked themselves.
The office on West Harford Street in Milford was filled with cartons of pies, piled one on top of the other. A party mood prevailed with seasonal decorations, baked goods, candies, and drinks all around. Each customer received a gourmet pie to take home.
“Over 240 pies are being given to valued clients," Quirk said.
The customers were invited to stop in to "chat and enjoy."
"This is our way of saying thank you for their business and referrals throughout the years," she said.
The tradition started a few years back, with just a few pies — but it’s been steadily growing.
“It’s just something we as an office came up with together," said Quick.
A steady stream of delighted visitors dropped in that Tuesday morning before Thanksgiving Day.
June and Gene Dunn recently moved to Milford, having bought their house through the realtor.
“She helped us,” June said with a big smile, praising Quick highly.
Tasha Welsh sold her house in Milford through the realty office, and came back from Scranton to visit.
“I really appreciated the effort they put into selling my house,” she said.
“We are so grateful at Thanksgiving time and throughout the year for our health, our friends, and our business," Quirk said.
