Scranton. Two DVHS artists earn Congressional Institute awards

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors the nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district.
NEPA area students submitted entries and a panel of district artists selected the winners.
Rep. Bresnahan honored the winners during a reception at Scranton’s Everhart Museum on April 25.
Delaware Valley High School students earned two out of the five Congressional awards. DV students competed against schools in five different counties within the 8th congressional district.
Eleventh grader Maya Zhivkovich took third place/
Eleventh grader Logan Hendricks earned honorable mention.
Maya and Logan will have their artwork displayed in the congressman’s office for one year.
