The reward for the safe return of the plaque commemorating the July 15, 1864 Erie Railroad train wreck has been increased.
Because an anonymous donor has contributed, the reward now totals $600.
The Civil War plaque, which cannot be replicated, recently disappeared from its place on a bolder. Anyone with information leading to its return is asked to contact Rolf Buchmann, the president of the Shohola Railroad and Historical Society, at 570-559-7608.
