Students collect supplies for no-kill animal shelter

MILFORD — During the weeks of April 24 and May 1, students at Delaware Valley High School collected more than 300 supplies for O.S.C.A.R. (One Step Closer Animal Shelter). Students were challenged to bring in either monetary donations or supplies for the no-kill shelter in Andover, N.J.
Students and staff brought in everything from cleaning supplies to dog food during those two weeks. The sophomore class won the competition bringing in 237 supplies/donations. The sophomore class has bragging rights for the next year as their class gets its name displayed on a wooden dog bone that was created by career tech students and teachers.
“We are so thankful to you, the school, and everyone involved,” said OSCAR employee Kyana Siepe. “This was fantastic. Thank you so much for all of your time and hard work.”
