Supplies needed in a hurry

MATAMORAS — John Tomik was about to complete his Eagle Scout project, when it ran into difficulties.
The 18-year-old member of Troop 77 in Matamoras discovered that the project needs more supplies in a hurry, and funds are low. The supplies need to be there by April 25, and donations are badly needed.
John is repairing 15 "very worn and damaged" benches at Country Ark Farm in Milford. The farm helps disabled children and adults in the area, and he attended camp there for many years. He’s now thrilled to help others at the farm.
Donna Ciancitto at the farm “provides many fantastic opportunities for people with disabilities to work and play with animals in a country setting,” John’s mom Linda Tomik explained. “He’s worked very hard at this."
Troop 77 has had many Eagle Scouts within the last few years with Jessica Brighton as the leader.
The benches need to be repaired so the visitors to the farm have comfortable seats to relax.
An account, www.gofundme.com/pg6zso, has been set up to accept donations, or can be sent directly to PO Box 16, Matamoras, PA.
