'Swapapalooza' to support sustainable energy

HONESDALE — Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support (SEEDS) is holding its "Swapapalooza" fundraiser on Thursday, May 4, at the Cooperage Project, 1030 Main St., Honesdale.
Eat local food, sample free local beer, and commission your very own landscape painting while supporting the environment. SEEDS is a community-based organization committed to developing a local renewable energy infrastructure and promoting more sustainable living in the area.
Get your Mother’s Day shopping done and enjoy food from the Ant Hill Farms Kitchen Café. Chef Monique will donate a portion of her proceeds to SEEDS, and the Irving Cliff Brewery is donating a special brew for the event. The café will open at 5:30 p.m. and festivities begin at 6 p.m. Cash, checks, and credit card purchases are all accepted for auction items.
"Swapapalooza" is free. Bring one item you no longer love, and swap it for another item for free. This fun, fast-paced recycling activity has been a feature of SEEDS' annual fundraiser.
"So come enjoy good company, and take home an incredible gift that will support our organization," says the invitation. "Help us by sharing this notice with nature lovers who might be interested in some of our auction items."
